It is making me gain weight and I'm scared?
I am 15 years old, weigh 113 and am 5'3. But apparently I'm very thin, because my rate body fat is 12.5, and the dietician thinks that's why my period stopped. I was good of him at first … but I've gained a little since then, apparently, still not enough, and it is frightening. Everything went to my belly, and now I see this little chubby that never existed before. My hips and stomach seem more complete, and in a bad way, not good, because I looked too thin to begin with. (in my size I carry less weight than seven. Yes, 113 pounds and the size of seven years told me) I do not want lose the ability to have children, I will not go through menopause at age 15 … I'm so so so afraid of gaining weight. Do not do it again. I can not. I would like to something to stop it. I've got two counsilors so I do not preach about therapy. IM A FREAKING VIRGIN
I'm assuming you missed your period because it has lost weight, right? Well, teens, your body needs a certain amount of weight and fat to ensure that it is time, and 12.5% is not sufficient unless that's what you had when you were getting your period. Most women need about 17% -22% of menstruation, as is the average body fat of women. Try to gain more weight, even though they are afraid. More weight does not look bad to people and skinny, trust me, I know from experience. You do not want to lose bone mass and pass by osteoporosis, as you said – to gain some weight, get your body fat to 17% and trust me, not scared by the way you see.
