What is a daily intake of calories to lose a good two pounds a week?

I weigh 240 and my excess weight is on the face and stomach. I exercise hard (very aerobics, weight lifting) two days a week. I want to lose 2 pounds a week and get to 189. I've been a food diary and I'm eating approx. 1,200 calories a day, but may be two small. I'm afraid that since I'm drastically cutting my calorie intake my body is going to "counter" to lower my metabolism, and fat burning to compensate for the drastic reduction in calories

well you need to burn 3,500 calories to lose a pounds in a week so will have to burn or reduce by 7,000 calories. Men should eat 2500 calories a day to 1500 calories a day will make you lose 2 pounds a week. although if you are doing a lot of exercise probabily need to eat more than that. if you drastically reduce your calorie intake then metabolism will slow down to compensate.
